I’m intentionally making this material not copyrighted so that anyone can use this and share it with anyone else who might benefit from conducting a group session. I see a big picture with everything and the more people we can expose to this and open them up to this world, the better everything will be. Thank you for being a part of that mission.

Setting the Stage
For these groups, there are a couple considerations to help people get the most out of the experience. First of all, you’re going to want a space that is quiet and free of distractions. It isn’t always possible to have a place where there is no noise, but preferably find a space without loud or jolting noises.
Personally, I like to lay down when partaking in these guided journeys, but each person is different. You will want to make sure you have enough chairs or mats for people and enough space for them to lay down if they choose. I have done groups where everyone was laying and ones were everyone is sitting. There wasn’t a major difference in people’s experience, but when possible I like to give people the option. When utilizing a space without chairs or mats, I asked people to bring their own.
I have a voice that carries pretty well, but if you don’t, or if you are conducting of group in a bigger space with a lot of people, you might want to consider a microphone and speaker to amplify your voice. In my experience, I’ve only done this with groups of 50 people or more or some outdoor groups, so it’s usually not a concern.
I also instruct people to bring paper and something to write with, but I also have extras in case people forget. I always make sure to bring tissues to every group as well, as this work can be very cathartic. I also like to bring water and snacks to every group, but it’s not necessary.
Considering this is a great way to introduce people to this work, you’re going to want a way for people to connect with you or to follow up if they want to explore things more deeply through a private session or other events. I make sure to bring business cards to every event, along with a list of upcoming events. Use this opportunity to talk a little bit about what a private session is like compared to this group experience. Most people have never heard about what you do or have misconceptions from things they have heard. The more people that hear about this and understand this, the more this work will grow and the more people we can help.
While all these are important things to consider, don’t let them inhibit you from doing a group. It’s better to have the group, even though situations may be less than ideal, than to not do it all. I’ve done more than one group session in hair salons and people were sitting in the haircutting chairs, so get creative and you can make it work.

Time Requirement
While this actual guided healing journey isn’t that long, typically I schedule these type of events for a minimum of 90 minutes, and more often for a two hour block. This timeframe gives sufficient time for people to settle in and if anyone is running late, they’re not coming in during the middle of the guided process. By allowing a two hour window, there is more time available for people to share their experience as well. In the past, I didn’t allow much time for the sharing portion, but now realize how important it is for the healing process for everyone in the group. Now more than ever, people are also craving community and connection, and this provides an opportunity for them to experience that. I’ve also learned that it’s better to be done early than to go over the allotted time. People may have other commitments and you don’t want to have people worrying about the time or getting up to leave before the group is done if you can avoid it.
Introduction
Hey everyone. How’s everyone doing tonight? I want to thank you for coming out and giving up your evening to spend it with me. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Matt Schmidt and I guide people to heal themselves through states of deep relaxation where they can discover what’s currently impacting their life now and heal. I never know where will end up, but sometimes it traces back to other lifetimes.
Now I will tell you that when I am working one-on-one with a client, I am not directing them to any specific point or time. I keep the session open ended and basically track the issues that they want to address back to the point of origin or whatever they need to resolve the issue. In a group like this, everyone’s going to be having their own experience and relying on their intention and the divine guidance to help them go where they need to go. Obviously this is easier with a one-on-one session, but many people have had profound sessions and healing in a group setting such as this.
So before we get too far into it, I would like to mention that we are technically tapping into parallel lives, but to keep things simple for the scope of this group, we are going to be referring to these in linear time as past lives. The whole parallel lives and simultaneous time conversation is a discussion for another day.
Believe it or not, I didn’t even believe in past lives before I started doing this work. I have now taken people through thousands of lives and at this point, would have a harder time refuting what I’ve uncovered over the years. One of the things that I think is the coolest is that I’ve worked with people from all over the world, from all walks of life and they all connect to the same things and tell me similar stories. So either everyone is making this up or that there is definitely some truth to this. With some of the more recent lives or better documented lives, we’ve actually been able to go back and corroborate some of this information, along with additional details that were never documented.
When I started, I was worried about how this was going to conflict with religious people and their beliefs, but it really doesn’t. If you are worried about it, it may help you to just think of these as stories with information for you. Either way, you can still get the healing and insights from the story. I remember one of my first sessions was working with a nun and she ended up going to all these past lives. In my mind I was thinking, “Shit! How my going to backpedal out of this one?” Fortunately at the end of the session, her Higher Self went through and explained all the different parts of the Bible that discussed past lives that were taken out of context. Apparently her soul was ready for that next level of understanding, even though her human didn’t believe that.
I don’t think it really matters what you believe, as all rivers lead to the ocean, but understanding this idea and concept will help you in the healing process and give you some perspective. Whatever problem you’re facing in the moment may seem like the end of the world, but this whole life is only a blip compared to the bigger picture when considering the number of lives lived, cosmic time and the expansiveness of the universe. From that lens, things don’t have the same impact that they did before. If you take nothing more away from this group, know that you are so much bigger than all of this.
So what’s the purpose of exploring other lifetimes? I find that we can get valuable insights from other lifetimes as we may be currently learning lessons that weren’t achieved in those other lifetimes or balancing out experiences from those lives. Maybe you were abused by your husband in a previous life and in this life you came back to experience playing the role as an abuser. It’s all about balancing the experience. You have to play all the parts to fully understand the experience. Maybe you were working on learning something in that lifetime but died before you had a chance to learn it. In that case you’d come back again in this life to give it another shot.
Quite frequently we come back with souls that we recognize or that are familiar to us in order to have these experiences. These souls are often from our same soul group or soul family. All of these roles are decided before we come into a life.
During this pre-birth planning phase of a lifetime, we decide who we are coming into this life with, along with what experiences, themes, or lessons we want to learn. When we decide what family we want to be born into, these other lifetime experiences are taken into consideration. A good book that discusses this is called, Your Soul’s Gift by Robert Schwartz. By exploring these other lifetimes, you really begin to understand why the people in your life are the way they are and can have more compassion and grace with them.
Another benefit of exploring these other lifetimes is the physical, mental, and emotional healing. Often the things experienced in these other lifetimes or timelines will bleed through into this timeline now and impact our quality of life. What I find interesting is that sometimes the impact of that life will be present at birth, while other times it happens at the time that it happened in that other lifetime. For example if someone starts getting migraines at age 17 in this lifetime, we may find that there was blunt force trauma to the head or a gunshot wound to the head at age 17 in that lifetime. Conversely, sometimes it shows up as a birthmark and the trauma carries over as a residue into this lifetime. I have yet to determine why this occurs differently in each case, but it’s something to be aware of. When we help to process the trauma from that other life, healing can occur. I have had people heal pain in many parts of the body, poor circulation, headaches, migraines, stomach issues, hypothyroidism, etc. If I listed them all, it would probably fill the page. The main reason for telling you this is to open you up further to the possibility that this healing can occur. Remember, I’m just a guide in the process of your own healing journey.
While exploring past lives can be powerful and healing, I don’t want you to let these other lifetimes and timelines become a distraction in your life. We bring them up to explore them and acknowledge them and then heal and move on. Occasionally I have clients come see me who feel they need to catalog all their other lifetimes. “Well I was Cleopatra in this lifetime. I worked at Abraham Lincoln in this lifetime. I was an Atlantean priestess in another lifetime.” And I have to explain, “Well you’re on your fifth husband and your kids don’t talk to you, so we should probably focus on now.”

Tips to Get the Most out of This Experience
Now, just out of curiosity how many of you have done any guided meditation or group experiences like this? Okay, wow! You’ll have no trouble doing this then. There are a couple tips that I’d like to go over with everyone, just to help you get the most of this experience.
Probably the biggest one is letting go of expectations. We all have them but your soul knows what you need most, in the way that you need it and it’s really just trusting that process. Also don’t compare yourself to the person next to you because everyone gets stuff in their own way and by comparing yourself to another, you really limit what you can get out of this experience. In terms of results, some of the people who have had the most profound shifts were the ones that were snoring in the back of the room. I remember there was one gentleman who followed up with me after a group session and shared his profound physical healing. In my mind I was thinking he was probably the only one who had a great experience because he was snoring so loudly. So, just know that it doesn’t have to look a certain way.
Also keep in mind there are things happening on so many other levels and you are just here for the experience. There are things happening energetically, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, so just by you being here today is shifting things. The key in the process is really just to allow whatever to come up. As I’ve alluded to, there’s no right or wrong way to do this. You can help this process along by when I ask you a question or ask you to experience something, just trust that first thing that comes to mind. The second you get in your head and start thinking, “That’s not right. I don’t think I’m deep enough. Am I just make this shit up?” it’s going to pull you out of where you need to be. I don’t care if you made the whole thing up, it’s still trying to show you the same thing, so just roll with it. I think for me, the less pressure I put on it and the more fun I have with it, the easier it is. So just be curious and enjoy the ride.
Second, when I ask you to experience something, try to experience in as much detail as you can. Bring in sights, sounds, smells, feeling, sensing, knowing, etc. The more senses you can pull in, the better. Often we focus heavily on visualization, but I really like when people shift to more of the feeling and the sensing as that allows you to go deeper into the experience. I’m getting better at visualization, but for many years I would only get a very brief image or impression and then just know what happened from there or be able to feel how it impacted me. Also, keep in mind there’s a lot of dark places in the world. If you are in a cave, in a basement, or hiding in a closet, you’re not going to “see” anything. Tap into your other senses. I feel scared. I hear footsteps. I smell something burning. There’s nothing visual here but all those senses add information to what’s going on in that experience.

Guided Exercise/Demo
(This helps drop their expectations and gives them the confidence that they’re able to do this). Below is a sample of how you can do this.
Now in a moment, I’m going to show you how easy this is. This is just a simple demonstration to illustrate how easy this is and how you’ll get information as we go through this.
So just for a moment, I want you to close your eyes and just take a nice deep breath and as you exhale I want you to bring to mind an animal. It may be a dog, an elephant, or even something mystical like a dragon… really whatever comes to mind.
Go ahead and connect with its energy and how would you describe it?
What does it look like?
What is it doing?
How does it feel when you touch it?
How does it feel emotionally or energetically? Is it excited, calm, happy…?
Does it have a message for you or do you get a sense of what it represents for you?
(Pause)
Now, as you are experiencing this, something about the animal changes. Just allow something to change and notice how it changes.
(Pause)
Now imagine it becomes a bird and flies away. When the bird is completely out of site, you can simply open your eyes.

See how easy that was. Was everyone able to experience something? Great! Did anyone have trouble with this? Wow, you guys are rock stars. You’ll do great.
Is there anyone that wants to share what came up for them? (Allow one or two people to share).
All right, so do you guys see how that works? I didn’t tell you what to experience. I gave you some suggestions, but you picked what you picked. I didn’t tell you how it would change, that all evolved naturally. You didn’t have to make it change. That’s how things will progress as we go through this, one thing just leads to the next and the next. If you’re trying to force it, you’re using the wrong part of your mind.
Also, did it feel like you were blacked out or unconscious? Of course not. This is what the state feels like. So as you can see this isn’t like anesthesia, this isn’t amnesia, and this isn’t mind control. I can’t make you do anything you want to do. It would make my job a lot easier, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. You are in complete control the entire time. If you decide you don’t want to do this anymore, you simply open your eyes. However, I do encourage you to stick with it, because everything is coming up for your highest good and this is your chance to move through it. I do like to give people that option though. If things get too intense, also know that you can watch the scene as an observer if you need to.
Remember everything is coming up for your highest good, and you’re never given more than you can handle. It may not be what you want, but you always get what you need.
I should also mention that no one stays in one state or the other. You will feel yourself more alert at times, more relaxed at times. It’s just how the mind and body works. If you find yourself getting too worked up or too analytical, simply return to the breath. A nice deep breath will drop you right back into this space. Some of the other breathing I’ll be guiding you through is just to move energy or to anchor in some of these changes and I’ll be guiding you through that at those times.
One last thing I should mention before we get started is that when we expand our consciousness through groups like this, that window stays open for a while afterwards. Therefore, I encourage you to pay attention to any thoughts that pop in, keep track of your dreams, and be aware of any signs or synchronicities that catch your attention after you leave here.

Induction
All right, I’m going to invite you to just get comfortable and settle into this space.
Next, I’m going to invite you to close your eyes and we’re going to start with a couple nice deep cleansing breaths.
So go ahead and just take a nice deep breath in and as you breathe out, just allowing that breath to flow from your head to your feet, relaxing your entire body.
Just allow any thoughts to be there, observe them and let them go.
And as the thoughts come in and go out, just settle into the awareness that the most important place you have to be is right here, right now. You’re right where you need to be.
And as you continue to breathe in and out, you feel your body relax even more, and more, and more.
Now in a moment, were going to start with some intentions. I like to include intentions as they basically let the Universe/God know what we plan to do. So just in your mind, I want you to repeat after me.
I am open and ready to receive messages.
I am open and ready for healing.
I connect easily with my other lifetimes.
And, this session will change my life in a powerful way.
Now I would like for you to imagine a beautiful ball of white light in your chest. A beautiful ball of white light in your chest.
And as you continue to breathe in and out, expanding this light bigger, and bigger, and bigger, even beyond the physical body.
Expanding it bigger, and bigger and bigger, even beyond the physical body, until you’re completely surrounded by this beautiful ball of white light.
This is you standing in your light, standing in your power. When you’re standing in your power, standing in your light, you’re safe and protected and nothing can mess with you.
And this white light is like a magical bubble that can transport you anywhere.
Now I’m asking the bubble to move and carry you to the place where you live. This is a familiar place that you experience every day.
I want you to imagine standing outside that place where you live and experience it from the outside. Take in the sights, the sounds, and the smells, and really immerse yourself in that place.
Now bring your awareness to the door that goes in to the place where you live.
Walk through that door and go inside.
What’s that first room that you walk into?
Notice where the furniture is and the other features of the room.
Now take a moment and explore the other rooms, bringing in as much detail as you can into each space.
(Pause)

Now go into the bedroom, or the place where you sleep. This is something you experience almost every day.
And just take a moment to notice the features of this room. Where’s the bed? Where’s the dresser? Where’s the closet?
Now shift your awareness to a wall in the room that does not have a lot on it. This may be a bare wall or you could even focus on your closet doors. There’s no right or wrong way here.
Now in a moment, were going to create a portal to the past. If you want, you can create your own or you can follow my lead.
Now imagine a dot on the wall. Make a dot appear on the wall that does not have a lot on it.
Now expand the dot bigger and bigger, just like we did with the bubble of white light.
Keep expanding and growing the dot more, and more, and more, until it’s big enough for you to walk through. This is your portal to the past.
Now walk into the opening.
As you walk into the opening, you see a long tunnel ahead of you. A long tunnel ahead of you.
Walk through the tunnel.
You know this tunnel leads to another time, another place, another lifetime, that has information you need.
At the end of the tunnel is a bright light. The bright light is the opening to the past and the opening to another lifetime. Walk towards the light.
Now I have reached the light at the end of the tunnel. You know when you go through the light that you’ll be in another lifetime that has information for you.
Walk through the light.
As you emerge on the other side of it, and the brightness gets less intense, start to become aware of your surroundings.
What’s the first thing you notice around you?
What do you notice close by?
What do you notice in the distance?
Try to experience this scene through all of your senses.
What sounds do you hear?
Do you notice any smells?
Become very familiar with your surroundings and take it all in.
No breathe yourself fully into that new body and become very aware of that body that you are now in.
What are your first impressions?
Do you feel male or female?
About how old do you feel here?
How do you feel emotionally or physically?
How are you observing everything? Are you sitting, standing, laying?
Now become aware of anything you are wearing or carrying.
What are you wearing on your feet?
What kind of clothes are you wearing?
Remember this can be a feeling, sensing, or a knowing. Just trust those first impressions. What feels right?
Do you have a hat or any accessories?
Do you get a sense that you’re holding anything or carrying anything? If so you become aware of it now.
Now that you have awareness of yourself, what’s happening in this scene?
(Pause 30 seconds)

Good, now from there, let’s leave that scene and move to an important time and place in that lifetime. An important time and place in that lifetime. There’s nothing you need to think about or figure out here, it’s just allowing your consciousness to go where it needs to go.
What’s happening here?

Now, just drifting away from that scene and moving to another time and place in that lifetime that has information you need. Moving to another time and place that has information you need.
What’s happening here? What do you notice?

Now let’s leave that scene, and just move once again to another time and place in that lifetime. And just trust what comes to mind.
What’s happening and what are you experiencing here?

I want you to move to the last day of your life in this lifetime that were exploring. The last day of your life in this lifetime that we’re exploring, so that we can see what happens to you. If this is a difficult scene, you can watch it as an observer if you want to.
What’s happening to you on that last day?
(Pause 30 seconds)

Now, to get a sense of how this carried over into this lifetime, I want you to go to a few moments before your soul leaves the body. A few moments before you die. Go to a few minutes before the soul transitions from this world.
Now you can either connect to the energy of that aspect of you or you can breathe yourself into that body just for a moment to better understand how that lifetime is impacting your life now.
In those final moments, what are they feeling or thinking?
(Pause)

What are they experiencing in their body?
(Pause)

What thoughts or beliefs are still playing out in your lifetime now?
(Pause)

Now at this time, I like to ask for their angels or guides or loved ones to assist them in healing and this transition process. You can do this now. Ask their angels, guides, and loved ones to support them in this process. You can also assist them in this healing as your current self.
Now, that life has ended and you’re on the other side of it, surrounded by light or those beings that came to help with healing or guiding you home.
You can communicate mind to mind with this aspect of your soul to reassure them that that life is over and none of those things are happening now. They are in a different life and things are much different now. And just giving them a moment here to feel safe, protected, and loved.

From this vantage point you can now look back on the lifetime and see it from a different point of view.
Was there anyone from that lifetime that’s in your life now? Is there any familiar energy that you recognize as part of your life now?
One thing that really helps me here, is to look into their eyes. If it’s someone familiar, it’s easy to pick up on it right away.
(Pause)

Every lifetime plays a role in our soul’s growth and evolution. As you reflect on that lifetime, how is that meant to help you grow and evolve? What did you learn?
(Pause)

Is there anything that they learned from that lifetime that will help you in this lifetime now? Open your heart, open your mind and let them share that with you now. Trust whatever comes to mind.

Is there anything this aspect of your soul needs to understand in order to help them to heal and move forward?
(Pause)

Now that we’ve healed this lifetime and recovered this piece of your soul, I want you to invite them to join you in this timeline now. Invite them in like an old friend.
Now go ahead and just breathe this back in, it knows where it needs to go. And as you breathe this in, let any heaviness from that lifetime dissolve and disintegrate back into time. None of that is happening now and you no longer need to carry it after today. It happened in the past, so it can stay in the past.
As this piece of your soul is welcomed back home, how do you feel you can best honor this part of you? What was suppressed or shutdown that maybe you can do in this lifetime now?
(Pause)

As this part of you integrates more and more, feeling more whole and more complete than before. And just feeling the love and gratitude for the anything that they went through to bring you to this moment now.
Now normally I would count you out, but I’m going to let you take the time that you need to wrap things up here, and then when you’re ready, you can come back through the portal and back into the room where you started and then back into this room. You can come back faster than you left.

As you come back into this room and while it’s fresh, take a moment to write down anything from your experience. Even small details can be important, so take as much time as you need here to write things down. You may choose to draw pictures or symbols, really whatever you need to anchor in the experience.

As people are writing here, I want to remind you that this is only the beginning and more will unfold from here. Pay attention to your dreams and any signs or synchronicities.
